WAND
WAND Client
The distribution of the WAND client is a fully automated facility that requires a onetime access to the centralised WAND
client publishing URL for each device accessing the WAND solution. Once a device has been updated with the initial WAND
client it will be automatically version controlled from that point on unless the WAND client is removed or the device is reformatted
or damaged in some way.
WAND is designed to operate as a completely transparent solution with a minimal level of local configuration and user data.
Each WAND user account or passport is keyed to the windows ID and FRS domain of the client device and if this convention is used the
operation of the system is simple and easy to manage. The WAND client device also requires access to the URL hosting the SOPHTLOGIC
WAND Repository web service and again this is designed to be as simple and easy as possible for the WAND user.
When a WAND installation has been configured and is ready for use for the first time it must be verified against the WAND Repository and
a toolkit is provided for this purpose. The system is designed so that the user account of the client device and domain are sent as default
access criteria to the WAND Repository TUI for verification. If these details verify they are then cached on the device until such time
as the license expires or the details require changing.
