WAND
Application Toolkits
A key concept for the WAND model is that large multi-module software libraries have been replaced by a single on-line
repository of individual application toolkits, each of which is designed to carry out a specific function. In simple terms, each previous
menu option within pharOS will be replaced by a single WAND application toolkit.
What this means is that new software versions can be downloaded on a per-toolkit basis rather than an FRS having to take and test a
complete build each time a new feature-set is available or a patch required. The WAND client provides a toolkit which is used to access
the centralised toolkit library via the WAND Repository and to check-out new toolkits, or the latest versions of existing toolkits.
