WAND Gateway Services (WGS)
The WAND Gateway, also referred to as the WAND Gateway Services (WGS), is a server that sits on the FRS network and which takes messages
from WAND clients and converts them into database access messages to and from the FRS database or databases.
The WAND Gateway acts as a single communications point for all database access and can therefore also be used by WAND to dynamically
integrate and exchange data between multiple FRS datastores and these can be any database supporting Microsoft .NET such as Oracle
or SQL-Server.
SOPHTLOGIC provides an MSI deployment kit for the installation and maintenance of the WAND Gateway and this can be downloaded from the
same portal from which the WAND is available. This provides a simple wizard interface which guides the administrator via a onetime
WAND Gateway setup process, and the same toolkit can be used to implement WAND Gateway updates as they become available.
