What is WAND?

The WAND platform provides a new generation of distributed data management, transformation, and integration services.

Based on the cloud methodology, the WAND platform builds on existing SOPHTLOGIC technologies such eQ and the TUI (Trusted User Interface). Using a versatile and portable data toolkit, WAND delivers a suite of tools and applications that enable a wide range of services; from remote disconnected data capture through to real time, business rule driven integration with 3rd party systems.

Why WAND?

WAND is one product capable of porting across any business form requirement. There is zero development lead time for form production. Form creation is handled by SOPHTLOGIC support analysts, client IT staff or technical users.

A number of standard forms are available for immediate delivery, for example IRS, Fire Safety Audit (England, Ireland and Scotland), Home Fire Safety.

WAND Scenarios

WAND can be used in many scenarios and this is only dependant on the dataset it is integrated with. Typical examples include Fire Safety Audit, Home Fire Safety, Incident Recording, Human Asset Profiling and the delivery of related data such as Availability, Training and Competence data.

WAND and Fire Safety

When deployed as part of a Fire Safety scenario, WAND allows Fire Safety Officers to download Fire Safety Audits and Home Fire Risk Assessments, complete them electronically, before synchronising them back to a central FRS database.

WAND and Incident Recording System (IRS)

The standard IRS form is available. A unique method of user-defined extensions enables the IRS and any standard form to be customised and extended for customer specific data gathering and statistical purposes. WAND Workflow provides data transformation services for upload to the CLG website.
