What is Oaksborough?
Oaksborough Fire and Rescue Service is a SOPHTLOGIC virtual demonstration site, designed primarily to showcase our WAND family of products.
WAND enables remote and local data capture of any type of form data delivering seamless integration to the SOPHTLOGIC MIS or a third party data set.
Forms can be accessed via the WAND client or, by using WAND live, via an internet or intranet link.
Existing and prospective customers are invited to access the site and experience the functionality as they would if it had been deployed to their own working environment.
Please note that the forms available from the Oaksborough demonstration site are user-definable and unique functionality allows customer-specific variation to the layout and
workflow of any form. Forms can be created for the capture of any data set. If you have any particular requirements please let us know and we can set one up for evaluation.
The following forms and functionality are currently available to evaluate:
This form is designed to be available via a public facing website and enables members of the public to request a home fire safety visit. Business logic built into the form
determines the automated response which can range from an email informing the requestor that they will not qualify for a visit, to the automatic creation of a fire safety home
fire safety visit inspection record and allocation to an officer. The automated response is user definable and can be tailored to individual requirements.
This form is designed to enable a quick entry mechanism for officers to record information following School Education visits. The data is passed to the fire safety system
where it is available for querying and analysis.
This form is a specific example of a post incident review form for data that needs gathering following an incident. The data can either be queried via a web based incident
viewer or updated to the customer’s MIS for further action and analysis. User defined workflow built into the form can generate emails and further inspections depending upon
individual customer requirements. It is anticipated that this form would be completed via a tablet or other mobile device.
The web-based Resource Availability map enables an FRS to see at a glance, for a particular time and date, shortages across the whole time and retained stations split
down by riders, drivers and officers.
Officer Availability provides a web-based list of officers indicating whether or not they are available and includes a list of their current skill set.
This form is designed to be available via a public facing website and enables members of the public to report an unconfirmed hydrant defect. The data is passed to the hydrant
management system and can trigger an email or text message to the hydrant inspection team or generate an inspection request. The resulting inspection can be checked out to a
mobile device and once completed generate the appropriate workflow, for example, a request to the water company to repair the hydrant or notification that the hydrant is satisfactory.
